Confirmed water is entering sump pit from ground as well as nearby HVAC system condensation piping. But I did notice water residue around relief piping. Adjusted and set temperature on water heater to lower setting “hot” 120 degrees. This is manufacturer recommendation. Also tested pressure in home and it is at 55-60PSI.
No PRV in the home. If pressure fluctuates throughout the day this can cause relief valve to drip as well. Currently no leaks or dripping from relief valve or water heater. Advised customer to monitor small pale underneath relief pipe for next few days. If water is present PRV will need to be installed as water pressure must be fluctuating through out the day.
