In today's world, you can't always assume that your water has all the right qualities. A lot of water is what's called "hard" water, meaning that it has excessive mineral contents which can potentially cause illness. Don't take a chance on your health and contact Pipe Works Services, Inc. to get your water properly filtered and treated so that you can enjoy your water worry-free.

Attic Insulation & Ice Damming in West Orange, New Jersey

Attic Insulation

Do you have problems with your home losing heat even though your heat system is working? Then you might have a problem with your home's insulation. Attics are often insufficiently insulated by the contractor who built the house and thus cannot control heat the way that they should. By installing our spray foam insulation in tandem with our SilverGlo rigid insulation, you can cut down on the air that is being leaked out of your home and save on your energy bill.

Problems like ice damming start to occur in basements that don't have enough insulation because heat is being leaked out through the roof, melting snow that may be on top of it in the winter months. As the snow melts, it freezes repeatedly in the gutter, eventually creating a dam that prevent other water from freezing, forcing this water back through the shingles of the roof. The best way to avoid this is to make sure that your home is properly insulated so that heat doesn't leak out in the first place.

Pipe Works Services, Inc. has the tools to make sure that your project is done right the first time. Whether you're in need of plumbing, HVAC, insulation or electrical services, our friendly staff want to work with you to find the solution that will work best for you and give you the best results for you home! Call us today for a FREE, no obligation estimate!

Relocate Gas Valve

Customer called in stating that they had a water heater installed in 2019 and they were advised to have the gas valve relocated due to its proximity to a gas valve for another appliance. The technician arrived onsite and the customer granted him access to the basement where the water heater was located. The technician visually inspected the area and found the shut off valve for the gas grill was directly below the shut off valve for the water heater. The technician provided pricing to reconfigure the gas line and gas valve for proper operation. The customer decided to proceed with the work. The technician began by turning off the gas and relocating the existing gas valve for the grill to above the existing shut off for the water heater. He then made all necessary connections and turned the gas back on. He then tested to ensure there were no leaks, which there were not. He then cleaned up the work area and went over his work with the customer. The customer was happy that the shut offs were now properly configured.

Customer called in stating she had noticed a lot of water in the basement and she is not sure where it is coming from. Upon technician's arrival, the customer stated there was water seeping into the basement from an unknown source. Plumbing Repairs

Customer called in to schedule an appointment for a toilet that is leaking around the rim. Upon arrival, the technician found the toilet tank and bowl to be loose. The customer also mentioned that there is an issue with the slop sink. The technician looked at the slop sink and found that the sink backed up when the washing machine drained because the piping for the slop sink was connected with the drain from the washing machine. The technician presented options to correct these issues and customer decided to proceed with the work. The technician began by re-piping the drain for the slop sink and the washing machine by running separate lines for each. The technician then snaked the drain line for the washing machine to ensure it was flowing properly. The technician then tightened the bolts for the toilet tank and bowl. He noticed the toilet still rocked slightly and pointed this out to the customer. The technician left the customer an estimate to reset the toilet but the customer did not wish to reset the toilet at this time. The technician then went over the work performed with the customer. Customer was happy with work and glad that everything was left working properly.
