Air Conditioning - Older AC Unit Repair in West Orange, NJ

Our technician met with the homeowner and diagnosed the system and provided options to attempt to repair. The customer is aware that due to the age of system the repairs are not suggested. He attempted to get system operational and he installed a new voltage absorber and start assist to get compressor to turn on. Upon install compressor started and fan did not, so he provided an option to replace fan assembly and prop. He will install new condenser fan motor and prop to restore airflow to condenser and allow compressor to properly cool down. Owner is aware due to age and condition of system there is a chance with motor system may still have issues. The tech installed a new motor and fan assembly and tested found high head pressure but system is operating.
