Challenge
The customer called after noticing on really cold days there was a major draft coming from the crawlspace
Solution
Pipe Works Services will install CleanSpace Crawl insulation with 2'' Silverglo bolted, and air sealed on the cinderblock side walls and 1" TerraBlock foam matting insulation on the floor sealed off with CleanSpace vapor barrier. Reduce heat loss and infiltration of cold air by sealing and insulating the Rim Joist area with closed-cell polyurethane spray foam insulation, including exposed ductwork in the crawl space.
We will supply and install one spring-loaded backdraft damper with exterior foam gaskets to provide a tight seal. Range hood exhaust fan will be installed in the exhaust vent near where the vent exits the home, provided the vent pipe is accessible from the attic above the garage.
