Challenge

We had a customer who had cold floors and frozen pipe issues in the past.

Solution

We removed the plywood, and existing fiberglass insulation under the floor in the area below the kitchen and the bathroom. We air-sealed all penetrations and gaps. We insulated under the open floor joist. We installed plywood over the open joists and then dense-packed it with TruSoft insulation.

The result was a warmer floor and no frozen pipes all winter!
