P-Trap Replacement

Customer called in stating they have a leak under the kitchen sink. Upon arrival, the technician spoke to the homeowner who granted him access to the kitchen. The homeowner told the technician that the house is under contract and the closing is being held up due to a leak under the kitchen sink. The technician inspected under the sink and found the existing trap completely rotted out at the bottom and leaking. The technician presented options for repair and the customer chose to proceed. The technician turned off the water to the sink and cut out the existing trap because the rear connection point was soldered. He then installed the new trap and made all necessary connections. He then reinstated the water and tested for leaks, none were found. The technician then cleaned up the work area and went over his work with the customer who was happy that the closing could now take place since the leak was repaired.

Toilet Repairs

Customer called in stating the toilet flusher is not working. Upon arrival, the technician spoke to the homeowner who granted him access to the second floor master bathroom. The customer told the technician the toilet was not flushing properly. The technician inspected the toilet and found the flush lever and flapper to be very worn and needing to be replaced. The technician presented the customer with options for repair and the customer chose to replace the flush lever and the flapper. The technician began by shutting down the water to the toilet and draining down the tank. He then removed the existing flapper and replaced with new. He then removed the existing flush lever and replaced with new. He then reinstated the water to the toilet and flushed the toilet multiple times to test for leaks and none were found. The technician then cleaned up the work area and went over his work with the customer who was happy to have the toilet working properly again.

Water Heater Repair

Customer called in stating the water heater was not working. Upon arrival, the technician spoke to the homeowner who stated the pilot light for the water heater had gone out. The technician inspected the water heater and found the gas valve and pilot assembly in need of replacement. The technician presented options and the customer decided to proceed with the work. The technician began by shutting off the gas and water to the water heater. He then removed the existing gas valve and pilot assembly and replaced with new. Once he replaced the parts he reinstated the water and gas to the water heater. He then lit the pilot and turned the water heater on. The technician waited for the water to reach temperature and cleaned up the work area. He went over his work with the customer who was happy to have the hot water restored to the home.

Water Heater Replacement

Customer called in stating the water heater kept shutting off and displaying an error code. Upon arrival, the technician spoke to the customer who granted him access to the water heater. The technician inspected the water heater and found it to be leaking with a lot of corrosion by the water heater inlet. The technician presented the customer with options for replacement and the customer chose to proceed. The technician began by shutting down the water and draining down the existing water heater. He then disconnected the gas, electric and water lines. Next he removed the existing water heater and replaced with new.  He then installed 2 new shut off valves and a new expansion tank. Once this was done, he reconnected the gas and power vent. He then restored the water and filled the water heater. He turned the gas back on and turned the water heater on. The technician then cleaned up the work area while he was waiting for the water to heat up. He then tested the water heater for leaks and made sure the hot water had been restored before going over his work with the customer. The customer was happy that they had hot water again.

Water Heater Replacement

A customer called in stating there was a pool of water under their water heater.  Upon arrival, the technician checked in with the homeowner who provided him access to the water heater. The technician visually inspected the water heater and found it to be leaking. The technician presented the customer with options to replace the water heater and the customer decided to proceed. The technician shut down the water to the water heater and drained the tank. He then disconnected the gas and water lines and the flue from the existing water heater and removed it. He then installed the new water heater and made all connections to the gas and water lines and reconnected the exhaust. The technician turned the water back on and filled the new water heater and ignited the pilot. The technician turned the water back on and tested to make sure all was working properly. The technician then cleaned up the work area and went over his work with the customer. The customer was happy that the water heater was no longer leaking and to know they would have hot water.

Hose Bib Replacement

Customer called in stating the front hose bib on their home was leaking. Upon arrival, the technician checked in with the homeowner. The technician took a look at the hose bib and found the shut off valve for the hose bib line and the actual hose bib were not holding and water was seeping through the seal. The technician presented the customer with options to replace the hose bib and valve and re-pipe. The customer decided to proceed with the work. The technician shut off the water to the house. He then drained the line, cut out the pipe and valve for the hose bib.  He then re-piped the line to accommodate for the new valve and frost free hose bib. The technician then installed the new valve and the new frost free hose bib. He turned the water on to test for leaks and none were found. The technician then cleaned up the work area and went over his work with the customer.

Replace Kitchen Faucet

A customer called in because they purchased a faucet that they wanted to be installed. The technician arrived on-site and spoke to the customer who let him know that she had a leak on the old faucet that her son tried to repair but could not. The technician manually inspected the faucet and found it leaking and the shut-off valves underneath corroded and not working properly. The technician presented options to the customer to do the work and the customer proceeded. The technician shut down the water to the house and drained the system. He removed the old corroded faucet and installed the new customer-supplied faucet including the new sink dispenser for the soap. He then removed the existing emergency shut-off valves and replaced them with new ones. The technician then reconnected the water supply and tested his work for leaks. No leaks were present, the technician cleaned up the work area and went over his work with the customer. Everything was left working properly and the customer was happy that the sink was no longer leaking.

Sump Pump Replacement and HVAC Wiring Repair

The customer called in to schedule his eating maintenance and asked to have the technician take a look at his sump pump to see if it is working properly. He also requested to have the technician take a look at one of his thermostats that was not working properly. Upon arrival, the technician performed the heating maintenance and visually inspected the sump pump and thermostat that were having issues.  The technician found the thermostat in question was not controlling the zone and not functioning properly. The sump pump was also found to not be functioning properly. The technician presented the customer with estimates to make these repairs and the customer proceeded with work. Materials were ordered and the technician returned to complete repairs. The technician removed the defective sump pump from the pit and replaced it with a new pump. He then tested the new pump to ensure it was working properly. Next, the technician began the work on the thermostats. The technician installed the common maker and replaced the thermostat in the living room. Next the technician replaced 24" wire at the boiler to add common to the basement thermostat. The technician then tested the thermostats to ensure proper operations. The thermostats were working properly and communicating with the system. The technician went over operations with the customer who was very happy to have everything working properly.

Water Heater and Safety System in Morris Plains, NJ

Our technician replaced the existing 40 gallon water heater with a new 50 gallon water heater. He also installed a new safety pan, and new isolation controls for water and gas delivery system. He then installed a new expansion safety system and new automated isolation system with sensor. They also upgraded an exhaust system to code requirements.

Remove the insulation from the Rim Joist in the unfinished portion of the basement, bag and dispose of.
- Install 3G closed Cell Spray foam to the exposed Rim joist in the finished basement. including the Rim Joist in the Boiler room.
- Install 3inches of Lapolla 3G closed Cell Spray foam to the exposed walls in the basement crawl space behind the Basement AC system.

- Drill 2 1/2” holes in the bays of the walls leading down to the basement encompassing the mud room, bath and laundry room.

-Dense pack the walls with TruSoft Preminum Cellulose on the outside of the mud room/first floor bath laundry room leading down the stairwell to the basement.

- Dense packing the wall from the basement on the left of the AC system.

- Spray foam insulating the wall just above the AC System in the basement.


- Install 2” SilverGlo foam board in each bays of the bonus room knee wall.

- Install 3inches of Lapolla 3G closed Cell Spray foam to the exposed soffit, roof line, knee wall and both side walls.
