Pipe Works Services, Inc. is proud to serve our area because we’re committed to customer service. Our team of professional technicians use quality products from the best manufacturers in the business. We want to work with you to find a solution that will work best for you.

Many homes suffer from insufficient heating and thus their heating and cooling systems work twice as hard as they need to. These kinds of problems can often be fixed with better insulation, but sometimes it is the system itself that is in disrepair. When this happens, you need to call the professionals at Pipe Works Services, Inc. to get the job done right the first time.

You don't want to be stuck in a crisis where you can't get the heat you need in the winter time, or vis versa in the summer. By getting your heating and cooling systems serviced regularly, you can avoid a crisis and keep your home running smoothly and comfortably all year long.

Respected Home and Attic Insulation in Summit, NJ

When your home isn't sufficiently insulated, you could be losing the energy equivalent of leaving a window open all the time. Many houses come with attics that have less insulation than they should which means that your attic really isn't doing what it should be. Our SuperAttic insulation system targets cracks and gaps that allow air to leak through and plug them up with our stellar spray foam insulation and rigid insulation.

Because of their location in the home, crawl spaces are an area that can allow air into the home in what is known as the "stack effect." Air leaks from the attic to the outside and, in an effort to replace this air, cold air from outside is drawn in through the crawl space and then circulated throughout your house. Call us today to get an inspection of which areas of your home are causing the greatest amount of problems so that you can start lowering your energy bill.

Symptoms of poor attic insulation

  • Rooms located below the attic get too hot or too cold, even when other parts of the house remain comfortable.
  • High electric bills and/or high costs for heating fuel
  • Cold drafts during wintertime
  • Recessed "can" lights in the ceiling directly below the attic
  • Attic floor joists can be seen above or between existing attic insulation
  • Less than 10 in. of existing attic insulation
  • Ductwork in attic is exposed above insulation

Toilet Repair in Summit, NJ

A frequent customer of Pipe Works Services located in Summit, NJ called in to express concern with a leak dripping down into the basement. Pipe Works dispatched Pablo and upon further diagnosis found that first floor powered room toilet has a bad wax seal between flange and toilet. Pablo checked the surroundings areas for other possible sources of water and none were found.  Pablo determined that the toilet must be reset. Customer opted to add new wax seal to toilet so it would properly seal the toilet to the flange and the base of the toilet.. Once the toilet was pulled there was residual water on the base and the supply line was dry. Pablo also caulked toilet and trim so that the toilet had an extra seal.

I moved into a new (old) home in summit nj at the end of September. the home inspection did not find problems with insulation. however, the house always feel cold and since January we have been unable to maintain a temperature above 65-68 if the outside temperature is below 50. after 3 hvac contractors gave us varying assessments of what was wrong with our furnace, the last one said the furnace was probably ok and the problem was likely the house's ability to hold heat. he did a thermal image (I don't have a copy but maybe can get one) and saw big problems. I would like to do a home energy audit to try to determine how to fix the problem of lack of comfort in the home. Additionally, I would like a quote for a whole house generator.
