Customer called in stating they have a leak from the second floor bathroom shower down to the first floor and  basement. Upon arrival, the technician checked in with the customer who granted him access to the basement. The technician found that there was a leak from an open drain line. The technician presented options for repair and the customer chose to proceed. The technician shut down the water and drained down the line. He then cut out the copper Y and replaced the line with PVC. The technician then turned the water back on to test for leaks and none were found. He then cleaned up the work area and went over his work with the customer who was happy that the leak had been repaired. 

Customer called in stating they had a pipe that burst and they had to shut the water off. Upon arrival, the tech checked in with the customer who provided him access to the basement. The customer stated they were away and the neighbor noticed excessive water coming out of the sump pump discharge. The neighbor accessed the home for the customer and found water pouring into the basement in the corner above the washer and dryer so they shut the main valve near the water meter off. The technician asked the customer to turn the water back on so that he could determine the source of the leak. Once the water was turned back on, the tech determined the leak was coming from 1/2" water line supplying the backyard hose bib. The technician presented the customer with options to repair. The technician decided to proceed with the work. The technician cut out and removed the existing hose bib, a section of 1/2" copper and failed gate valve. He then drilled a new hole beneath the back deck in the same location as previous hose bib. He did this because the hole diameter needed to be increased to fit the new frost free hose bib. The technician then installed the new 8" frost free hose bib. He then ran new 1/2" pex tubing and installed new 1/2" propress ball valve. The technician then made all connections and tested. The water was restored and technician checked for leaks. None were found. The technician then cleaned up the work area and went over his work with the customer who was happy to not have water pouring into the basement any longer.

Customer called in stating the hot water is very inconsistent in the shower. He states it does not get hot enough and takes a long time to heat up. Upon technician arrival, customer explained the issue he is having with the shower. The customer told the technician the water coming from the fixture is either luke warm or cold. The technician tested the fixture. The issue seemed to be the shower cartridge. The technician presented customer with an option to change the shower cartridge and the customer accepted. The technician removed the existing cartridge and replaced with new. He then tested the water to see if it would get hot. The water did heat up a little but still did not get hot. The technician went down to the basement to to inspect the piping. Upon closer inspection, the technician found that on the piping close to the half bathroom there was a connection where the cold water tied into the hot water line. The technician explained his findings to the home owner who wanted to proceed with correcting this issue. The technician then shut down the water and cut out the tee. He reconnected the lines cold to cold and hot to hot. The water was restored and the technician checked his work by going back up to the bathroom and running the shower. The water got hot and the issue had been corrected. The customer was very happy that the technician was able to correct the issue.
